Before we can discover God’s power and strength in all of its fullness, we must be brought face to face with our own inability and weakness.
The most well-known scripture for God’s power being revealed through weakness is (2 Corinthians 12:9-10), where the Apostle Paul writes, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me”. This passage explains that God’s strength is displayed most effectively when humans are at their most vulnerable, encouraging believers to embrace their weaknesses as opportunities for God to show His power.
