It was Nathan who confronted David about his sin with Bathsheba. (2 Samuel 12) Who or what is your Nathan?
David, a man after God’s own heart. This is not about David’s love of God but God’s love of David.
You’d think the older we get the better able we’d be to resist temptation. Sadly, we senior citizens must confess it is often otherwise, for the love of many grows cold, and iniquity flourishes.
Without ceasing to be what he was—namely, God—Christ became what he was not—namely, man.
Believing in Jesus and not obeying Him puts us in some very scary company. “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!” (James 2:19)
