God Does Have a Wonderful Plan for You…

Western Christian evangelism’s, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life is absolutely true!” God’s plan for your life? Behave yourself and tell others the gospel. This is an oversimplification, but necessary when communicating with today’s evangelical.

God gives each Christian a sack of Gospel seed with the instruction to sow this seed indiscriminately while diligently working not to disqualify your testimony of the Gospel by your behavior. He has prepared the soil on which this seed will fall. Here’s where it gets interesting. Until the Christian sows the seed the ground He has prepared remains fallow. The Gospel must be sown by man. What happens after that is the work of God only.

The vast majority of those who consider themselves to be a Christian have not even opened their bag of Gospel seed. In fact most of them don’t know they have such a bag. They are preoccupied with doing great things for God and have yet to do the only thing He desires. Sanctification is not an act, it is a lifelong work. The newly born again has much growing up to do. Afterall, it was 14 years before the apostle Paul embarked on his first missionary journey and he knew the Scriptures from the get go.

You want to do great things for God. Remember (Luke 16:10) “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.” And frankly, there is nothing greater than sharing the Gospel and God granting you the privilege to witness His life changing power revealed in the person to whom you witnessed.
