We All Live By Faith

A friend replied to a post I wrote in my blog, “God’s Word to the Wise.”  https://godswordtothewise.com They wrote that Jesus doesn’t exist and the Bible is a bunch of BS. They said there is no direct, empirical, or “observable” proof that definitively proves the existence of a God. (I am not quoting them word for word, but I think I am being fair with my translation.)

We all live by faith. The person who says there is no God has no direct, empirical, or “observable” proof that definitively disproves the existence of a God. (Hebrews 1:1) defines faith as, “…being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.” I’m not sure that those who say there is no God are “sure of what they hope for” but they are “convinced of what they do not see” (cannot prove), but are they convinced? (Romans 1:18b-22) says, “…who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness, because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.”

Psalm 19:1-6

The heavens declare the glory of God; the sky displays his handiwork. Day after day it speaks out; night after night it reveals his greatness. There is no actual speech or word, nor is its voice literally heard. Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth; its words carry to the distant horizon. In the sky he has pitched a tent for the sun. Like a bridegroom it emerges from its chamber; like a strong man it enjoys running its courseIt emerges from the distant horizon, and goes from one end of the sky to the other; nothing can escape its heat.
