Remember the Sabbath to Keep It Holy

The “Ten” Commandments enshrine the eternal law of God., and the principles they contain are of permanent validity. Therefore, the fourth commandment is to be obeyed. Jesus as recorded in Luke 6:1-11 was nullifying the burdensome and unnecessary rules for sabbath observance invented by man. He was not nullifying the observance of a sabbath rest. The fact is, He was returning the sabbath to what God intended it to be; a delight.

    Thank you Casey! After all these years I have finally realized what a gift the Sabbath is. God is giving us a day to rest in Him, to acknowledge that He is sovereign and all things are under His capable control. A day to rest in the fact that He is God and I am not.
